Elson & Company + Studio Four NYC

Wednesday, November 30th, 2016

We are very excited to share that Elson & Company is now part of the Studio Four NYC family!

They are purveyors of the finest handmade rugs with designer lines from Oscar de la Renta, Jeffrey Bilhuber, Lulu DK, and Kathryn M. Ireland. The designs are fully customize-able in size and color, and are handwoven by skilled weavers in Nepal and India. Each piece is an individual work of art and a timeless investment.

We have an amazing library of samples for you to browse, and you can work with one of our skilled salespeople to customize the rug for your project.

Blush Color Trend

Monday, November 7th, 2016

This season, we have seen a serious dedication to blushes, soft pinks, and warm taupes. They add a touch of femininity and warmth to any palette but it isn’t just for girly frocks. Check out our picks from the showroom both new and old, that utilize this lovely, versatile range.

Katie Ridder, Color Magician

Thursday, March 24th, 2016

I’ve had the absolute honor of working with the team over at Katie Ridder Inc on so many wonderful projects. My favorite part of the process is to see how their design schemes evolve. It’s always so fun to watch them incorporate color and pattern into the rooms of a home. I also really admire their ability to mesh together collected items from a families past with pieces that are being added to the new design of the home. When it is all said and done, pretty much every Katie Ridder project tells the story of the people who live there, and I tend to find myself drooling over each and every home!

Below are some photos from the latest issue of House Beautiful. You can’t miss this issue in the newsstand… not only is Katie the covergirl, but the beautiful colors will leap off the page and make you smile!!

I die for everything in this room…. the ceiling height with that fab light fixture, the perfectly tailored custom blue sofa, the red lacquered table for an extra pop, and last but not least (giving a shout out to Studio Four) is the Water Lilies rug that was designed for us by Carrier and Company and available to purchase here.

They used one of our hand knotted graphic yet still traditional Studio Four rugs in this room. Katie is known for being a real pro at mixing patterns, and this room really shows off that ability!

Our new website!

Friday, October 10th, 2014

The new Studio Four NYC website just went live, and we are beyond thrilled to share it with you! One of the best things about Studio Four is that we get to work with and represent some of the most talented and incredible textile designers in our industry. On our new site, we wanted to tell you more about their stories and give you a chance to appreciate the time and detail that goes into the products that these designers are creating.

I am sure I have said this before, but I love my job and I love all the people and products that make up Studio Four NYC. My hope is that our new site gives all of you an inside look at who these incredible people are!

We’ve been ordering some new custom rug samples for the showroom this week. A particular favorite of the moment is our alpaca boucle, flatweave quality. We are taking our color and design inspiration from the timeless color geniuses, Josef and Anni Albers. Here is a look at what we are up to…

The artists and their work…

And these are some small samples of our alpaca boucle flatweave quality using the Albers’ work as inspiration.
