Blush Color Trend

Monday, November 7th, 2016

This season, we have seen a serious dedication to blushes, soft pinks, and warm taupes. They add a touch of femininity and warmth to any palette but it isn’t just for girly frocks. Check out our picks from the showroom both new and old, that utilize this lovely, versatile range.

What’s new with Rebecca Atwood

Friday, October 14th, 2016

A lot of exciting things are happening for our friend Rebecca Atwood: she just came out with an amazing new book that shows you how easy and enriching it is to live with pattern in every part of your home; she has debuted her new wovens collection which includes fabric by the yard and these amazing throws; and she is working on launching a truly adorable embroidery fabric line that we have been lucky enough preview…

We are so happy to be a part of it all and are excited to see how her brand continues to evolve. Her products are not only beautiful but thoughtfully produced as well. Whenever she introduces us to new samples, they are always made with the utmost consideration while supporting other craftspeople and makers in the industry.

Make sure to check out The Market for beautiful home accessories from her line, and as always, stop by the showroom to view her fabric by the yard collection.

Studio Four NYC Wovens + Prada

Friday, October 7th, 2016

These wovens from our own Studio Four NYC collection are the epitome of hip refinement. Who can marry those two worlds better than Miuccia Prada? Thankfully our own collection is worthy of such associations.

Caroline Z Hurley Fabric by the Yard

Friday, September 30th, 2016

We are always on the lookout for talented new designers to add to our gang off misfits, and last year we were introduced to the fun and colorful world of Caroline Z Hurley. Her first collection, utilizing bold simplicity and fluorescent hues, was so different than anything else we had in the showroom. Everyone was so in love with her thoughtful, yet paired down geometrics.

With this new collection, she continues to push the envelope while staying true to her signature style. The lively colors, geometric repeats and beautiful ground fabrics have us all giddy.

We are getting our hands on samples shortly, so definitely stay tuned.

Clay McLaurin’s New Stripe Collection

Monday, September 12th, 2016

Clay McLaurin, whose earthy line of fabrics is one of our favorites here in the showroom, just debuted a new stripe collection that is absolutely drool-worthy.

Each design is digitally printed on beautiful Belgian linen upholstery weight fabric – great for a handsome chair or summery drapes. We are very excited to see these guys put to use. They look perfectly at home here on the beach, flawlessly coordinating with the cool sandy, drift wood neutrals.

Summer Cocktails + Wayne Pate

Monday, July 25th, 2016

Here at Studio Four, we love a well made cocktail; especially one that captures all the tastes of summer. And what better to go with our dog day tonic, than Wayne Pate‘s cool exotic style.

Palomas: Combine 4 1/2 cups of grapefruit soda, juice from 6 limes, and 1 1/2 cups of silver tequila. Pour over ice filled glass and garnish with a wedge of lemon and/or lime.

Hunan Round Two

Wednesday, July 20th, 2016

One of the things we value most at Studio Four is our relationship with all of our wonderful clients. A lot of what we make and customize is greatly influenced by what you ask for and what you tell us is missing in the market.

Back in 2015 we released a collection of wallpapers with the the crazy fun and talented Amber Lewis of Amber Interiors fame. The patterns have been a big hit over the past year- I even have one installed in my own powder bath. But we kept getting feedback from designers that you’d love to see our Hunan design as a fabric.

So guess what?! We listened and here you have it, Hunan the fabric!

This worked out so brilliantly that we are now working on a fabric version of one of our Wayne Pate wallpapers. So check back in this Fall and we hope to have a couple of new fun surprises for you!

St. Frank Textiles Wallpaper & Fabrics

Thursday, May 19th, 2016

The latest thing to drop in the showroom has been this amazing collection of wallpapers and fabrics from our favorite vintage textile purveyors, St. Frank. They have tirelessly sourced vintage and handmade fabrics from around the world to bring us a collection of goods “by the yard” to satisfy all our textile junkie cravings.

The products are made from meticulously scanned and manipulated textiles like woven Kuba pieces from the Congo and dyed Indigo fabric from Mali. The end result is dramatic but inviting wall-coverings and upholstery weight fabrics that bring the world into focus.

Their booth at ICFF showcased their new wallcoverings next to their classic framed treasures and we could have easily walked out of there with the whole collection if our bank accounts allowed it. We cannot wait to see how these will be incorporated into some truly beautiful spaces.

Wayne Pate + Studio Four NYC

Friday, May 13th, 2016

Over the last year we have had the absolute pleasure of collaborating with Brooklyn artist, Wayne Pate, on a stunning collection of wallpapers and fabrics. If you aren’t familiar with Wayne’s work then stop now and check him out here … you can thank me later!

wayne small 2

Stacy and I immediately fell in love with Wayne’s style, especially the intricate patterns that can be seen as backgrounds or botanical accents in his paintings. He is a long time admirer of textiles, and his home is one of the most comfortable and lovely places that I have ever been lucky enough to have a work meeting. To set the scene, upon entering I get offered an espresso or glass of rose and then we dive into sorting through his latest paintings (all of which I want to steal to make my own little Wayne Pate gallery at home).

But let’s get on to the juicy stuff (the pictures)! I am beyond thrilled to introduce you all to our new textile and wallpaper babies. Please come visit us in the showroom soon to see these beauties in person. We will also be offering ready made pillows in our online shop soon- yippee!

And last but certainly not least, THANK YOU to wonderful Wayne for making this magic happen!
