Founded in 1996 in New York City’s East Village, Pintura Studio’s hand-screened fabrics and wallpapers are based on historical references from Coptic and Renaissance art to Ottoman and Mughal painting to Viennese stencils and Japanese shrines. We love the painterly quality of these global motifs and the commitment that founders Christine Isles and Edward Rollins have to products made by hand from start to finish.
