Anamaala Woven
Designed and woven by women in Ghana, West Africa. 20% of profits return to local Ghana community.
When a child is born in the Dagaaba region of Ghana, the community is called upon to provide a name. Deliberation takes a while as the baby’s character develops and weeks can pass before a suitable name is chosen.
Annamala means ‘it shall be well’, and it’s the name of Boon and Up's Production Assistant’s baby girl. This traditional pattern, originally based on the plumage of the guineafowl, is named in her honor.
